Interstate Module
The VSPS-Interstate Module enables a user (depending on his VSPS role) to create, issue, find, view, and report on the movement of animals within the U.S.A. One important source of animal-movement data is the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) - an official health certificate that is often required to move live animals from one State to another State. This certificate contains information about all parties involved, an accurate description or identification of the animals, and the health status of each animal at the time of a veterinary inspection. All this information is collected and stored in VSPS, where it can be searched, viewed, and (in some cases) edited. This module provides several features for working with CVIs.
Your VSPS user role determines which of the following features you can access and use:
Create and issue an electronic CVI.
Transcribe and save animal data from paper CVIs into VSPS.
Find and view an electronic CVI or a set of data transcribed from a paper CVI.
Edit or duplicate a CVI (in order to create additional CVIs that share common data with the original CVI).
INSTRUCTIONS ON USING THIS SCREEN: In addition to this help topic that you are reading now, the VSPS-Interstate Module provides other user documents. See Step 5 below to access these documents.
To navigate within the VSPS Interstate Module:
On the VSPS Home screen, log into VSPS.
From the left menu, select Interstate. The Interstate Module screen displays.
Your VSPS user role determines which options listed below you can click on and use:
