Add/Edit/Remove Animals from CVI
As a Veterinarian and Veterinarian Assistant will need to add, edit and remove animals associated with your CVI. Find CVIs provides a search page where the more information you enter the easier to find the particular CVI to add, edit or remove your animals.
To find a CVI:
On the VSPS Home page, log on to VSPS.
From the left menu, select Interstate. The Interstate Module displays.
Click Find CVIs. The Find CVI page displays.
The more information you enter into the search fields the shorter your results list will be.
Click (Search). NOTE: To display all CVIs then click one of the Quick Finds buttons instead of the (Search) button.
The Search Results display at the bottom of the page. NOTE: If you click on one of the three headings that are in a different shade of blue (Cert. No., Vet Name, and, Issued) the search results will re-sort the results in descending order by that criteria.
You can now:
Click (edit) to the left of the CVI you searched.
Click (delete) to the left of the CVI to completely delete this CVI from your records.
Click (view) to review the data already entered.
Click (pdf) to view the actual Certificate of Veterinary Inspection.
Click (edit). The CVI summary page displays and you are in an edit mode, and, the "I want to...." section is displayed.
Click (Add/Edit/Remove Animals). A Summary Data section is display with the CVI's pertinent information along with an Animals Listed on Certification section.
Click (Add) under the Animals Listed on Certification section. The Animals search page displays.
Insert a checkmark in the box(s) beside the animal(s) to add to the CVI.
Click (Continue). The Animals Listed on Certification section displays with this animals' information for you to review.
Enter the body temperature in the field provided.
NOTE: Continue repeating Step 9 until all animals are added.
Click (??). The CVI Summary page is displayed. You can now:
Edit any of the fields on the CVI summary pages.
Click (View/print the certificate) - Views or prints the actual Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. NOTE: A "NOT VALID FOR MOVEMENT" watermark will display if the certificate is not complete and an "Official" watermark will display if the CVI has been completed and issued.
Click (Add/Edit/Remove Animals) - This provides the functionality to add animals to the CVI, edit any animals you previously added, and, delete any animal you had previously added.
Click (View status history) - This provides information such as the last time and date the CVI had a status change and what the status of the CVI is (i.e. saved vs issued).
(Issue) - Click here IF you are absolutely certain that you have the right animals added to the CVI and all of them have negative results on their required test records, if any. The CVI will display, the Veterinarian must:
(Delete) - Click here IF you are absolutely certain you want this CVI permanently removed from your database. NOTE: (Void) will display if you have already issued the CVI.
After the CVI is issued these buttons will display:
(View/print the certificate) - Views or prints the actual Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. NOTE: A "NOT VALID FOR MOVEMENT" watermark will display if the certificate is not complete and an "Official" watermark will display if the CVI has been completed and issued.
(View Animals) - Displays the list of animals on the CVI, if you need additional information about an animal click (view) beside the animal and detailed information displays.
(View Status History) - This provides information such as the last time and date the CVI had a status change and what the status of the CVI is (i.e. saved vs issued).
(Void) - Click here if you are absolutely certain you want this CVI voided. NOTE: Once a CVI has been issued it can not be deleted, only voided.
