Horse Transport, Create Request

As a VS Horse Transport user, you will transcribe the paper certificate into VSPS so the electronic version can be used to monitor the transport of these horses to ensure the safe and humane treatment of horses throughout the transfer process.  

 

NOTES:

To create a horse transport certificate:

  1. On the VSPS Home page, log on to VSPS.

  2. From the left menu, select Horse Transport.  The Horse Transport Module displays.

  3. Click Create Request.  The Horse Transport Certificate page displays.

  4. Enter data in the following fields:

  5. *Load Date - Click . A pop-up calendar displays on top of the current window. Select the load date by clicking on a date or from the drop-down lists at the top of the calendar, select the month and year.

  6. *Load Time - From the drop-down list, select the load hours and minutes that the horse arrives at the facility.

  7. *Origin City - Type the origin city.

  8. *Origin State - From the drop-down list, select the origin state.

  9. Vehicle License Number - Type the vehicle license number.

  10. Vehicle License State - From the drop-down menu, select the vehicle license state.

  11. Driver's Last Name - Type the driver's last name.

  12. Driver's First Name - Type the driver's first name.

  1. Auction/Market Name - Click and scroll down until you locate the facility, click (select) to choose the auction or market name.

  1. Under Owner/Shipper, click option to search for the Owner's information in your address book.  If not available, enter all applicable/required information (after you enter the information you can click to add to your address book).

  2. Business Name - Enter Business name if available.

  3. *First Name - Enter the Owner's first name.

  4. *Last Name - Enter the Owner's last name.

  5. *Address 1 - Enter the Owner's address.

  6. Address 2 - Enter additional address information.

  7. *City - Enter the Owner's city.

  8. *State -  From the drop-down list, select the Owner's state.

  9. *Postal Code - Enter the Owner's postal code.

  10. County - Click to search for the county this address resides.

  11. *Country - United States is the default country, if this is incorrect from the drop-down menu select the correct country.

  12. *Contact Number - Enter the Owner's phone number.

  1. Under Receiver/Facility, click to search for the approved Facility information from the system address book.  This information is not editable and only the approved facilities are available.

  1. Under Requirements, the first box is selected as a default, if there is an issue with this shipment de-select the first box and select the statement(s) individually that apply.

  2. Mark All Boxes Below as Checked;  

  1. Under Violation Information:

  2. Violation - Choose a violation from the drop-down menu, if no violations exist select "Compliant".

  3. Comments - Type additional comments related to this shipment, these comments do not populate any other place but are saved (up to 2,000 characters) with this Certificate.

  1. Click (Create) to complete and save this Certificate.  Once the Certificate is saved the Tracking Number is automatically populated under Transport Details.  You can now:

  2. Select (Add New) - Add a new horse to the certificate.
